SUMMARY
Searching for items in KRunner and 'AppLauncher Search' crashes Krunner and Plasmashell respectively. both recover after re-spawning KRunner and Plasmashell.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  type anything in KRunner text field OR search field in App Launcher

OBSERVED RESULT
KRunner OR Plasmashell crashes causing re-spawning of KRunner OR Plasmashell.

EXPECTED RESULT
should return relevant sear results

The KRunner crash description is the same symptom as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477149 but the backtrace looks very different.
