That merge will only fix the small font's size in the new editing zone, it has nothing to do with how font labels look vertically misaligned in settings page.

They are not, is the intended alignment (unless you mean they are not centered/justified)... however that MR will not merge, as discussed there, the font config page will be entirely removed.

That would be the worst solution, any respected calculator I used have fonts sizes to manage how buttons, result, history... Because the calculator has a small interface that can be resized differently on various screens.

No, I meant that font names and the labels should be vertically aligned on the same baseline. See attached image for more info.

I see it now, is quite apparent  using huge fonts. Still, the page almost sure will go away.

Removing features to minimize bugs is proven to be a bad decision. 
At least qalculate-qt which is a reliable alternative will retain configurable font sizes.
