Shut Down and Restart from application launcher freezes. I have to CTRL + ALT + F1, then CTRL + AL + DEL to get the process going.
While the process is frozen, the top left Screen Edges, Overview function still works.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Log in.
1. Click “Application Launcher”.
2. Click Restart / Shut Down.

OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor remains visible on a black screen, nothing else happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
Shuts down or reboots.

I forgot to mention this only happens on X11, when I switch to Wayland it does not.

Does the same thing happen in a new clean user account using the X11 session?

It doesn't.

Got same stuff after upgrading 6.0.5 -> 6.1.1. ArchLinux. X11.
Killing plasma-fallback after trying to shutdown makes system to shutdown
Removing ~/.config/ksmserverrc removed the issue
After rebooting file was created again.

This "fixed" it for me, but it seems like it's related to manually saved sessions, as re-selecting that option makes the issue return.

I'm also running EndeavourOS with X11. Issue first started around the same time this report was first posted.
Discord and Conky would remain running, but everything thing else GUI-wise will close (black background, no widgets, etc.)
