I forgot to mention this only happens on X11, when I switch to Wayland it does not.
Does the same thing happen in a new clean user account using the X11 session?

Got same stuff after upgrading 6.0.5 -> 6.1.1. ArchLinux. X11. Killing plasma-fallback after trying to shutdown makes system to shutdown Removing ~/.config/ksmserverrc removed the issue After rebooting file was created again. before: [$Version] update_info=ksmserver_update_loginMode_value.upd:ksmserver_update_loginMode_value_default_enum [General] loginMode=restoreSavedSession [LegacySession: saved at previous logout] clientMachine1=localhost command1=org.gnome.Nautilus count=1 [Session: saved at previous logout] clientId1=10146d7e3df000172025767900000009590005 count=1 discardCommand1[$e]=rm,$HOME/.config/session/yakuake_10146d7e3df000172025767900000009590005_1720257737_185315 program1=/usr/bin/yakuake restartCommand1=/usr/bin/yakuake,-session,10146d7e3df000172025767900000009590005_1720257737_185315 restartStyleHint1=0 userId1=ivan after: [General] loginMode=emptySession [LegacySession: saved at previous logout] count=0 [Session: saved at previous logout] clientId1=10146d7e3df000172025907900000009480005 count=1 discardCommand1[$e]=rm,$HOME/.config/session/yakuake_10146d7e3df000172025907900000009480005_1720259120_929681 program1=/usr/bin/yakuake restartCommand1=/usr/bin/yakuake,-session,10146d7e3df000172025907900000009480005_1720259120_929681 restartStyleHint1=0 userId1=ivan
(In reply to Ivan from comment #4) > Removing ~/.config/ksmserverrc removed the issue This "fixed" it for me, but it seems like it's related to manually saved sessions, as re-selecting that option makes the issue return. I'm also running EndeavourOS with X11. Issue first started around the same time this report was first posted. Discord and Conky would remain running, but everything thing else GUI-wise will close (black background, no widgets, etc.)
