Emojis are not displayed in saved network names anymore. Instead, UTF code is shown.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Connect to network with emoji in the name e.g. "🚀"
2. After connecting, network will show as "\360\237\232\200" both in Connection widged and in Connections section in Systems Settings


EXPECTED RESULT
Connection name should be the same as SSID

You said "anymore", which I assume means this used to work in the past? What version of Plasma did it work in?

It was working before I updated my system. Where can I find which version of Plasma I had before?

We can figure it out if you remember what Ubuntu version you upgraded from. Was is 22.04 or 23.10?
