in settings, window management, window behavior, movement tab, i set 'screen edge snap zone' to 'none', and 'window snap zone' to 'none', and hit apply. then, when moving the window to the top of the screen (you may have to do this a few times, but i can reliably get it to crash in less than 10 seconds every time), the whole system crashes completely. the screen freezes, and not even ctl+alt+f2 can be used to get to a terminal. i happen to be using artix linux plasma, and i updated with 'pacman -Syu', which is a full system upgrade, before experiencing this behavior. i didn't try doing these things before upgrading, i'm just saying my system is up to date.
> i updated with 'pacman -Syu', which is a full system upgrade Did you reboot after performing the system upgrade?
yes i rebooted
changing status to reported
this issue occurs in kwin 6.0.5-2 from artix-plasma. cannot reproduce crash on new version kwin 6.1.2-1 from artix repo. new version still acts a bit weird but no crash and no artifacts like old version. will create new issue for weird behavior in kwin 6.1.2
