*** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** I have Kate installed on XFCE, had to install kde themes (materia-kde package) to be able to set dark theme for the background. Then, the icons did not change accordingly to the dark-mode, so I had to install gtk2-engines-qtcurve, kde-style-qtcurve-qt5, qt5ct, qtcurve, qt5-style-plugins and then changed the icon themes with qt5ct. All icons changed to light color to be visible against the dark background, EXCEPT the Git icon. The git icon is still dark grey, does not change no matter what icon theme I change to. OBSERVED RESULT Git icon in left panel is dark grey instead of orange/red or white when using dark theme. EXPECTED RESULT Git icon should be orange/red.

Yes, that is broken in that version, one will need the latest one to have it working. https://cullmann.io/posts/kde-applications-and-icons/
