Created attachment 170971 [details] Log from live session when using Krita but does not seem to capture anything interesting SUMMARY On X11 Gnome touch gestures are not working as expected with Wacom Cintiq Pro 24. For example tapping two fingers for undo does nothing, unless changing undo to one finger tap then tapping two fingers does the last action. So somehow it seems that it interprets the amount of fingers touching wrong, zooming can also range from not working or being a bit unstable how much or little it zooms. Not sure if this is on Kritas or Gnomes end, but so far I've been able to pin it that it only happens with Gnome. Same behavior with native package and appimage. I am seeing same behavior on both Pop_OS! and Solus Gnome edition. Solus KDE and Artix Xfce does not have this issue under X11. On Wayland session with Gnome this also does not happen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a distribution which uses Gnome X11-session. 2. Use Krita with Wacom tablet and after drawing try to undo with two finger tap. 3. Nothing happens. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens when tapping with two fingers. EXPECTED RESULT It should undo. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux Solus 4.5 Resilience (and also seen on Pop_OS! 22.04 LTS) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Added log from Solus live environment when the issue is happning, but it doesn't seem to catch anything useful.
To make it clear; basically touch gestures are off somehow since it seems to interpret the amount of fingers wrong. The easiest and quickest way to explain it was the two finger tap for undo.
Yes, probably a Gnome issue. Is this really something Krita developers should spend time on, since Gnome X11 sessions are being deprecated already?
(In reply to Halla Rempt from comment #2) > Yes, probably a Gnome issue. Is this really something Krita developers > should spend time on, since Gnome X11 sessions are being deprecated already? Agreed since X11 is getting deprecated that is a good question. I was originally using Wayland and all was working well for a few months until drawing started to intermediately not work. On the Krita forums I was told that since Krita is not native for Wayland yet I should use X11. So at the moment I'm in a situation where I either don't have gestures on X11 or sometimes drawing doesn't work on Wayland. I understood it's not known yet how long it is until Krita is native in Wayland so I'm not sure how to proceed at this time. I could also check with Gnome-guys, but currently my drawing setup is in a bit of a catch 22.
