Description Ivan Sosnov 2024-06-25 12:30:30 UTC
SUMMARY
When using multiple rows of virtual desktops, the manual window resizing behavior is incorrect. Resizing a window on one virtual desktop also resizes windows on the next desktop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a new virtual desktop row
2. Snap a window to the left, or right side of the desktop
3. On the next virtual desktop, snap another window to the same side
4. Attempt to resize one of the windows

OBSERVED RESULT
Both windows get resized.

EXPECTED RESULT
Only one of the windows gets resized.

This is not a duplicate of 466031
- the MR that purportedly resolved it seems to be about something different, as far as i understand it https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/6893
- I still see this behavior on 6.4.3
- maybe difference between Quick vs. Custom Tiling?
- also see comment there https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466031#c11
