Created attachment 170939 [details] screenshot of discover and the settings app side by side SUMMARY When I install third party themes and the like from the settings app, I get a warning message telling me "User-created content shown here hasn't been tested by KDE or your distributor for functionality or quality". However if I open Discover and click on the plasma addons tab I don't get such a warning. I believe that if you're going to be displaying this warning from the settings app it should also be displayed on Discover when it comes to installing 3rd party themes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open theme section in settings app and click get new, the warning message appears 2. Open Discover and click 'plasma addons' and any of the subsections, no warning message appears SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: opensuse tumbleweed 20240621 with KDE plasma KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1
Yeah. Or we should finally delete the KNS backend's browsing capability, and just use it for updating.

I get the feeling that most users install new themes from the system settings instead of discover. Not to mention the fact that setting the policy "[KDE Action Restrictions][$i] ghns=false" in the /etc/xdg/kdeglobals file is only enforced when installing new themes from system settings. Even with this policy enabled I was still able to easily bypass it by downloading new themes from Discover.
