SUMMARY Whenever I try to use a GTK app installed from Flatpak on a wayland session, the window freezes after a second, renders the app unusable, and requires terminating the process to close the window, I have tried with Bottles, Trayscale, and Flatseal, all of them have the same result. They were working just fine before the update to Plasma 6.1 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install an app built with GTK from Flatpak 2. Launch the app OBSERVED RESULT The app window completely freezes and goes into the (Not responding) state EXPECTED RESULT The app works normally SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE neon user KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Linux kernel version: 6.5.0-41-generic (64-bit) Graphics platform: Wayland Graphics driver: Nvidia 555 drivers installed from ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa ADDITIONAL INFORMATION GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070
I also have this issue. I don't know if it's the cause, but I also happen to be using the 555 proprietary drivers, although on a 1080 Ti. I also noticed that in a Wayland session, the proprietary driver isn't loaded correctly (I'm not too familiar with Linux graphics pipeline, so "isn't loaded correctly" is my best guess), and it falls back to using llvmpipe instead, but everything works fine on X11.
