SUMMARY When for example playing music on my laptop (Chromium, with the Plasma Integration extension), when the song switches to the next one the phone gets a notification "Continue playing $songname" which disappears again after a second. The same happens when just pausing the music manually, the phone gets a brief notification which disappears again. After a bit of searching I found the media plugin settings have a setting to disable "Continue playing" notifications, but if that's the expected behavior I'm not sure this setting should be on by default since it spams the phone quite a bit with (bogus) notifications. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Play music in Chromium browser 2. Wait until current song ends and next one starts 3. Observe <1 second of "Continue playing" notification on the phone OBSERVED RESULT The notification appears for less than a second. EXPECTED RESULT Depending how this notification should normally behave, either stay there for longer? Or not appear in the first place? SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1 Android app version: 1.31.1
This is also a problem with YouTube. Just hovering over any thumbnail on YouTube creates a continue playing notification. Maybe this can be fixed on the KDE extension for chrome/firefox.
