SUMMARY
Hi,
There's currently no way to replace an image sequence clip with another image sequence, because the dialog used doesn't have the relevant option.
(An implicit question would be, why is this dialog different from the one used with the "Add Clip or Folder..." function?)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Load an image sequence via "Add Clip or Folder..." option.
2. Select it in the Project Bin.
3. Right click to select the "Replace Clip..." option.
4. Notice that the dialog that opens doesn't allow to load another image sequence, but only single image or video files.
