Description szucsilikes00 2024-06-11 20:33:47 UTC
SUMMARY

When you drag a file from the notification widget (this can be either with the widget or the system tray) the plasmashell crashes. This doesn't happen with the pop up notification just with the widgets.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Download any file
2. Once downloaded click on the notification icon (widget or system tray)
3. Drag the file

OBSERVED RESULT

Plasmashell crashes. Even though it crashes you can still drag the file without issue and sometimes when you drag a file it doesn't crash but most of the times it does.

EXPECTED RESULT

Plasmashell shouldn't crash.

I can't reproduce this issue. Where on disk did it download to, when what did you drag it to?

Also if something crashed, we need a backtrace of it so we can figure out what's going on. So in addition, can you please attach a backtrace of the crash using the `coredumpctl` command-line program, as detailed in https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_using_coredumpctl?
