And I gather your panel is set to "Always Visible", and not "Auto Hide" or "Dodge Windows? Does this issue happen in a new clean user account with no customizations?
Created attachment 170435 [details] i1 - image of the same issue on a 'clean' account on Garuda (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) > And I gather your panel is set to "Always Visible", and not "Auto Hide" or > "Dodge Windows? > > Does this issue happen in a new clean user account with no customizations? The panel is set to 'Dodge Windows' - by default (on Garuda). Only change I did on my main account inside the panel edit mode window is disabling 'Floating' mode to fix some stuttering issues when maximizing/minimizing windows. But the default Garuda setup has it enabled and the issue still happens. I've / I'll attach a new image (i1) showing the same issue on a 'clean' account using Garuda + Wayland + KDE. Unfortunately Garuda's default KDE settings are highly customized. - It felt like the issue was happening less on the fresh account compared to my main account - This also happens when logging out / logging back in (not only on reboots) - Entering Edit Mode as well as taking a screenshot and launching OBS to capture the screen will seemingly refresh the dock - fixing the issue - Might be important to state - currently I'm using Nvidia Beta Driver 555.52.4.0 to fix some other Wayland / KDE issues, but this specific issue described here also happens on driver 550.90.07-1, so I assumed it might be unrelated to the beta driver itself If there's anything you'd need me to provide, don't hesitate to ask, I'm all in for it.
Aha, NVIDIA. I strongly suspect a driver issue here; we've seen other recent similar issues on NVIDIA with the 555 driver series. Please report this issue to the NVIDIA folks, either by sending an email to linux-bugs@nvidia.com or making a post at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux. It would be helpful to the NVIDIA developers if you could run nvidia-bug-report.sh and attach the resulting file in your report. Thanks!
