Screen capture of the panel with artefacts

SUMMARY

Seeing strange artefacts around the KDE panel when it's in centred mode floating at the bottom of the screen. See screenshot that's attached to the report.

This is a fresh installation of KDE 6.0.5 on Fedora 40 using the Breeze Dark theme and a standard wallpaper.

Do note that this is an external screen connected to a (closed) laptop.

It appears the code that draws the shadow around the panel is not using the correct background to render the alpha-blended shadows on.

Comment 1 Dave Thompson 2024-06-11 13:26:38 UTC
What's also interesting is that changing the wallpaper doesn't remove the artefact, nor does changing the size of the panel.
Comment 2 Dave Thompson 2024-06-11 15:44:53 UTC
Also, happens on all panels, not just the panel with the Task Manager on...
Comment 3 Dave Thompson 2024-06-11 17:48:21 UTC
Only happens when the panel is set to be transparent/translucent. If it's opaque the error is not seen.
Comment 4 Dave Thompson 2024-06-11 18:08:58 UTC
Ignore above - also happens on Opaque mode!
