Description Reuben 2024-06-07 15:49:00 UTC
SUMMARY
I realize flameshot is not a KDE app (the overlay is significantly better UX than the default, and it would be nice to officially adopt it!) - but the developer states that this bug is caused by the underlying wayland compositor.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use plasma wayland
2. Use fractional scaling
3. Set up flameshot
4. Take screenshot

OBSERVED RESULT
Flameshot does not receive scaled image. See https://github.com/flameshot-org/flameshot/issues/3614

EXPECTED RESULT
It should work identically to Xse

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This should be fixed in at least Plasma 6.1 (if not 6.0), where the KWin screenshot tools got a lot smarter about scaled screen setups.
