SUMMARY
"Touch Mode" no longer enables automatically in Plasma desktop 6.0.5

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Touch Mode to Automatically enable as needed in General Behaviour
2. Disconnect keyboard and mouse from touchscreen device

OBSERVED RESULT
Touch Mode does not activate

EXPECTED RESULT
Touch Mode activates

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
NixOS 24.11 (unstable channel)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0

I figured out what is going on. I use Keyd to remap my keyboard and it apparently has a "virtual pointer" that I didn't know about.
