Description m1vri31c 2024-06-07 06:48:36 UTC
SUMMARY
Sometimes, not always, holding one's finger or fingers still on the touchpad will register a small amount of constant shake. This happens both with single and multiple finger gestures.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. move cursor then hold finger still on trackpad or scroll then hold fingers still on trackpad

OBSERVED RESULT
Occasionally the cursor or whatever you are scrolling will shake slightly

EXPECTED RESULT
Still finger inputs register as still

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
NixOS 24.11 (unstable channel)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Microsoft SP7 uses special drivers and kernel – I don't know which ones are relevant to the keyboard cover.

Input handling comes from the Libinput library; we're not involved in it at all. Please report this issue at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libinput/libinput/-/issues/. Thanks!
