SUMMARY Plasma will crash when trying to edit panels on x. I will try to add a backtrace later, but due to my whole desktop freezing when it happens, it poses kind of a challenge to me There were a lot of crashes, but this one has been the most reproducible one: STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enter panel edit mode 2. Edit a widget (I did it with system monitor) 3. Close the menu and move the widget OBSERVED RESULT My desktop crashes EXPECTED RESULT n/a SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: NixOS 24.05 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.6.31 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 30.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Panel refresh rate: 175 HZ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hm ... I apparently use wayland in my system right now, but I switched it manually to X. I cannot reproduce the issue right now, so maybe it does not occur with wayland. I don't know when that switch back occurred.
Can you remember which system monitor style were you using? (Bar chart, applications table, line graph..?)
.
Sorry I am having a lot of issues with different project on my new laptop right now. Will get back to this, but it will take a bit of time. Sorry.
