Created attachment 170087 [details] Brightness slider showing nan% SUMMARY The brightness applet no longer functions correctly STEPS TO REPRODUCE Sadly, I can't provide any reproduction steps because I'm not sure what triggers it. But generally it's not functional, even after a reboot. OBSERVED RESULT The brightness slider is not functional. Yesterday it still showed the percent. The day before yesterday it was completely missing Now it says "nan%" when it's set to 100 and "inf%" otherwise EXPECTED RESULT Behave like in Plasma 6. I could control the brightness of my primary monitor with this SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1 Kernel Version: 6.9.3-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor Memory: 62.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I can provide some relevant logs if you tell me how to get them :)

Haven't seen this myself.
Still an issue on 6.1 release
(In reply to Nico from comment #3) > Still an issue on 6.1 release Same issue here but normally it does work. For some reason it breaks and instead of 0 and 100% it shows nan% and inf%.
A few fixes went into Plasma 6.1.1; can you check that version and see if the issue is fixed now?
I will check on Friday and report back :)
Fixed in 6.1.1
Oh wait, it worked before but not it's broken again. It now shows the correct percentage value from the slider but it doesn't control the brightness
Now it's back to "nan%" and "inf%" so I assume nothing relevant has been changed between 6.0.90 and 6.1.1. I'm still wondering if I can provide any logs to help here because I can think about how hard to debug this would be without them
In my case this option simply disappears when a power management crashes. This happens usually when logging out and then in.
