SUMMARY

I'm tired of arranging my icons on the desktop and every time, at a random moment, KDE Plasma places the selected icons by name instead of respecting my manually configured position. It's an old problem that unfortunately hasn't been resolved and that disrupts the lives of users who use icons on the desktop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Manually position more than 35 files on the desktop including icons, miscellaneous files, folders and *.desktop files;
2. Use the system boot and reboot for long time;
3. Try too change the desktop wallpaper and change de layout to folder view to desktop view and desktop to folder view;

OBSERVED RESULT

Sometimes the system changes the positioning of files on the desktop sorting them by name from A-Z instead of respecting the manual positioning.

EXPECTED RESULT

Respect the positioning of files on the desktop according to the positioning made by the user.

This seems related to the behavior in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468546, which is the one I'm using as the main issue for this behavior
