STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Just launch spectacle (if set to take new screenshot on launch), or launch and then explicitly take a screenshot 2. Wait 3. See error OBSERVED RESULT Error message: An error occurred while taking a screenshot. KWin screenshot request failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Do you happen to have the following file on your system? If you do, does deleting the file and rebooting fix the problem? ~/.local/share/applications/org.kde.spectacle.desktop
