Does this only happen when you launch firefox from konsole, but not from other terminal apps?

It is very unlikely that a konsole bug could be causing the issue here. Maybe you have some special environment variables set in the konsole session that is causing the issue?

I'm trying to reproduce the effect, I admit I'm new to linux arch and I've
only been using KDE Plasma a couple of days now, so far what I see in
Plasma I like very much.
I didn't phrase myself properly,
I didn't mean initializing firefox with Konsole, but rather I did something
that caused firefox to load directly in konsole (does that make sense?) If
I can remember what I did it's driving me a little coo coo :) it's not
really a big deal.
I'm really more concerned with my loading crash of Inkscape in Plasma yet
Inkscape works fine when I boot into the gnome de.
Other than that I really like Plasma.

Okay I was able to recreate the garbled text I mention earlier with the
accompanying screenshot,
It happens when I select KDE: information from the welcome assistant
v24.5.10-1

This appears to be an issue with the local configuration (e.g., maybe font config?) or a firefox issue rather than an issue with konsole. So marking this as DOWNSTREAM. Perhaps a better place to ask for help would be the arch forums (assuming you are using arch).

Thanks, I'll look into it.
I'm really just embarrassing myself aren't I 😊
Take care
