Created attachment 169888 [details] This is what you should encounter if you follow the reproduction steps. *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY When the user tries to take a screenshot using the "Rectangular Region" option, the spectacle window is still shown. This makes it very difficult to take cropped screenshots of things, especially on smaller screen sizes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Spectacle 2. Click "Rectangular Region" option OBSERVED RESULT The Spectacle window is still visible in the center of the screen. EXPECTED RESULT The Spectacle window should be hidden so I can take a screenshot unobstructed. Thank you for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to look into it yet. A lot has changed since it was reported; can I ask you to see if this is still an issue with Plasma 6.5 or later? Thanks a lot!
