Same screen, same file, on Windows and on Linux, taken by my phone

SUMMARY
Colors are much darker than on Windows. See attachment. Same issue persists when using different color profiles made specifically for this laptop's monitor.
When using dynamic graphics, the HDR option does not show up in display settings (despite the monitor supporting it) unless I go into bios and switch to discrete graphics. Even then, HDR gives greyed out and washed colors. This doesn't fix the initial issue I have with colors appearing darker than normal.

To clarify, is the image only darker while using a color profile, or also when not using one in both Windows and Plasma? Because if you don't have one set, KWin doesn't modify the colors or brightness levels it sends to the screen, and this will either be a lower level issue, or Windows does something with the colors even when it shouldn't.

With the ICC profile or HDR enabled, Windows being brighter is expected, because Windows handles sRGB content (objectively, according to both the sRGB standards and what is logical for content creators and users) wrong.

> When using dynamic graphics, the HDR option does not show up in display settings (despite the monitor supporting it) unless I go into bios and switch to discrete graphics
That's expected, Intel's HDR support is very broken in some cases and we don't expose it by default yet for that reason. You can override that with the KWIN_DRM_ALLOW_INTEL_COLORSPACE environment variable

> Even then, HDR gives greyed out and washed colors
Unfortunately, NVidia's HDR support is also kinda broken, see bug 482780 for details.
