SUMMARY
In the Ukrainian uk_UA.UTF-8 locale if you hover over the standard digital clock on the Kde Plasma panel it will show the translated day of the week. I've noticed a bug where the ending letter of every day of the week is wrong. I don't know which component of the stack is responsible for the calendar localization/translation but this does NOT happen either in xfce4 or by invoking "date" command in konsole while Plasma is running and the translation is correct. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate. This also happens in Plasma 6.0.5

For example for sunday it says "неділю" while "неділя" is correct. For saturday it says "суботу" while "субота" is right.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Switch to ukrainian uk_UA.UTF-8 locale
2. hover over the digital clock on the panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
translation is wrong

EXPECTED RESULT
translation is correct

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.90
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1
Kernel Version: 6.9.1-arch1-2 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

I'm afraid, there is nothing we can do from the KDE translation side (there is no such translation in the compendium). I think it's the problem of Qt translation or locale in glibc and its interaction with the widget.

That's why Gnome is better.

glibc translation was broken by the GNOME-only user btw.

Funny. Now open the calendar planning tool (schedule) and see these beautiful «Цей субота», «Останній середа», etc. Yes, perfect... ;)

Can you advice me what to do to solve the problem? It's the only one reason, which stopped me to use KDE.

Please try to locate (search) the faulty string in /usr/share/locale/uk and fix it (for gettext files, msgunfmt -> editor -> msgfmt).

Apparently seems to be fixed on my machine (Fedora Linux 41; KDE Plasma 6.2.5; KDE Frameworks 6.10.0; Qt 6.8.2).
