SUMMARY
Today I intalled the KDE 6.1 Beta, I wanted to take a scrsht and them my whole went black. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launching Spectacle
2. Select "Rectangular Region" 
3. Try to take a screenshot with specific size.

OBSERVED RESULT
The whole screen goes black unless I close the spectacle app or stop using the "Rectangular Region" option

EXPECTED RESULT
Not a black screen

What is your Spectacle version? Spectacle is not on Plasma's release schedule, so the version numbers are different.
Are you on X11 or Wayland?
If you are on X11, is KWin your window manager?  If you didn't change your window manager, the answer is probably yes.
I am currently unable to reproduce this bug with the latest git master version or the recently released 24.05 version.
