Description Yamil Jaskolowski 2024-05-25 01:37:22 UTC
Application: latte-dock (0.10.8)

Qt Version: 5.15.13
Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Operating System: Linux 6.8.0-31-generic x86_64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
I upgraded from Kubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 (following a guide that previously needed to upgrade to 23.10). The upgrade was success but some thing are not working properly. For example, Plasma initiates in TTY1 instead TTY0. I don't know if problems are related but just to mention it if helps.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Latte Dock (latte-dock), signal: Segmentation fault

Thank you for the bug report!

However Plasma 0.10.8 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE; supported versions are 5.27 (LTS), and 5.27 (non-LTS) or newer. Please upgrade to a supported version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

If you need support for Plasma 0.10.8, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older releases that are no longer supported by KDE.

If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to a supported version, feel free to re-open this bug report.

I saw in another ticket related (but not exactly the same bug) that someone mention about Plasma 0.10.8 no longer been eligible. But the version 0.10.8 is the app latte-dock which is the latest. I'm using Plasma 5.27.11 here (I don't know why it was not included in the generated report).
If it was my mistake and misunderstood your messege, I appreciate if you can explain a bit more about what you mean by "Plasma 0.10.8" version. Thank you!
