ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Nate Graham 2024-05-22 18:35:34 UTC
Are you using a 3rd-party icon theme?
Comment 2 Igor Mironchik 2024-05-22 18:47:38 UTC
No, this is the default Breeze Twilight theme with default icons.
Comment 3 Igor Mironchik 2024-05-22 18:48:57 UTC
On login screen the same problem...
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2024-05-22 18:52:09 UTC
In that case then there is some kind of broken packaging. Moving to Neon.

Did this just start happening recently, or has it always been this way?
Comment 5 Jonathan Riddell 2024-05-22 18:59:42 UTC
It's part of today's snapshot, affects User and Testing editions, investigations ongoing
Comment 6 Ghislain Vaillant 2024-05-22 19:10:39 UTC
Confirmed on my side after updating 2 machines today running KDE Neon User Edition.
Comment 7 Daniel Kraus 2024-05-22 19:11:57 UTC
+1

I do have icons in the system tray.

Interestingly, when I start Konsole, I get this message twice:

kf.config.core: Created a KConfigGroup on an inaccessible config location ":/icons/breeze/index.theme" "Icon Theme"
Comment 8 duha.bugs 2024-05-22 19:14:08 UTC
As a workaround you can set your global theme to breeze dark. This should bring the icons back until the issue is resolved

One error on command line when running system settings and other apps is
"kf.config.core: Created a KConfigGroup on an inaccessible config location :/icons/breeze/index.theme Icon Theme"
