Hi Team, We are 3rd party patch provider like PatchMyPC or ManageEngine. We are providing similar services to our customers. and added Kdiiff3 to our catalogue. https://adaptiva.com/products/autonomous-patch During installation testing of Kdiff3 version 1.11.0 and 1.11.1, We found that the application is maintaining the 1.11 as version number for both the setup due to which we are not able to trace the correct version installed in our system. Is it the issue in current version or you are going to maintain version number like this only. Is there any other way to trace the version number installed silently. How can we find which version is installed in our system. to test and upgrade the application silently. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install the setup 2. open add remove program and check the display version for all three setup. OBSERVED RESULT Setup version number Display version number 1.10.7 1.10.7 1.11 1.11 1.11.1 1.11 EXPECTED RESULT Setup version number Display version number 1.10.7 1.10.7 1.11 1.11 1.11.1 1.11.1 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: windows 10 and 11 Please provide any information regarding this issue. Feel comfortable to ask any information regarding this testing. please let us know how we can track the correct verison number installed in the system. thanks and regards Team Meta Adaptiva
I do see a few cases of "1.11" still being used at the tip of the `1.11` branch: https://invent.kde.org/search?search=1.11&nav_source=navbar&project_id=423&group_id=1558&search_code=true&repository_ref=1.11
looka like craft didn't have the new archive avialiable when I did the last build. A corrected exe has bet generated add will be uploaded to the standard download location within the next couple of days. A temporary copy can be found here https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kdiff3/-/jobs/1842508/artifacts/browse/.kde-ci-packages/
Going regerate windows binaries manually to use 1.11.1 target. Internial kidff3 does know what version it is but the windows install date comes from the target name used in the craft build.
Uploaded a new windows installer with corrected version. https://phabricator.kde.org/T17341 sha256 and sha-1 checksums are provided.
