First: Thanks for creating a great app - I hope I am posting this in the right place. MarkNote is looking really nice and has already gained many nice features. As of version 1.2 there is support for a Global Menu in Linux. This is a feature request for being able to show that menu bar inside the window too, as is possible in most other desktop apps. This woul bring quick and discoverable one-click access to vital functions and would make the app be able to match other desktop apps such as Dolphin, Gwenview, Mercuro and Okular. Either on by default on desktop, or as an option. I would suggest the former, on by default. Many of my customers who buy pre-configured Linux desktops believe apps to be less functional or "simple" if they don't have a regular menu bar, and displaying it first is an easy way to show what the software can do and which functions and options are available. After that has been made clear, the user can hide it. But hidden by default but easily discoverable also works well. I realize there might not yet be much items in those menus, but the function is good to have as the application grows.
Yeah it was already in my todo list, but unlike Marknote the menubar likely won't be the default for Marknote.
Sounds great! I considered waiting, but since it was mentioned in the changelog for the latest release I thought I might as well mention it. :) Thanks for all your hard work on this and other good apps!
