Please able users to change some of the default settings in desktop version, for example default path for received files is ~/Downloads

Thank you for the bug report!

You can globally change where Downloads are put for all apps in System Settings > Session > Locations. You can configure the place where KDE connect saves received files in System Settings > KDE Connect > (pick one device) > Share and receive > (press the Settings button).

Your general request to be able to "change some of the default settings" is not actionable. Please file individual requests for the things that should be configurable, so that it is clear what exactly you are requesting, and so that it can be evaluated when a particular issue is resolved. Thank you!
