SUMMARY
Qt apps doen't see all my drives. For example I have a drive named Work. If I want to open a filew from this drive, it's not there in the side panel but it's added manually in Dolphin by me. Just the apps doesn't see it. Here's a screenshot I have it added to the side panel and it's working fine:

But Qt apps doesn't see it when I want to open a file from it. For example here's a screenshot from Virtualbox:

As you can see there's no Work drive in the side panel and I have to always set temporary to show hidden files and browse to the drive manually.
Here's a screenshot from Ark:

From qBittorrent:

And so on. It's the same for all of the Qt apps.

Can you tell me the URL for that item you added to the sidebar?

If you add something else to the sidebar in Dolphin — say, a normal folder somewhere — does it show up in the sidebars of the open/save dialogs in those apps?

Hello,
It's a normal drive - /media/work2/.
Comment 5 mozo 2024-08-01 22:12:01 UTC
Now I tried normal folder from the same drive and it's showing in the apps. But the whole drive doesn't.

Thanks. What version of Plasma are you using, and in what distro?

Finally, does the issue reproduce in a new clean user account with no customization?

Yes, I just tried it with a brand new profike - added my drive to the sidebar but it's not showing in the dialog menus:

I'm using:
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.10.2-arch1-2 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 32 × Intel® Core™ i9-14900KF
Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090/PCIe/SSE2
Manufacturer: ASUS

Sorry for don't add it at the start, I don't know how I can forget, shame on me.
