SUMMARY
When renaming in icon view, the cursor and the text is not centered but goes to the very left. It happens only with short names. Here's a screenshot:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Ger a file with a short name in icon view and commit a rename.

OBSERVED RESULT
The cursor and the text is not centered but goes to the very left.

EXPECTED RESULT
The cursor should be centered. The newly entered text as well.

I see what you mean, the text is centred but when you rename the text is immediately moved to the left which seems odd, the text should not move.

SUMMARY
This bug is causing me frustration as well, after updating my Manjaro system yesterday. The text is centered when I hit F2 to rename the file, but as soon as I paste in the new file name, the text jumps left, rather than staying centered.
