Description linux.admin 2024-05-10 06:48:57 UTC
Hi. I am experience big issues with pipewire after migrating to it from pulseaudio. Recompiled/patched kernels, configured options. It sucks. Glitches/cracks/crashes.
I installed pulseaudio and it works. but I have multiple spam messages every 2 sec
мая 10 09:47:43 work plasmashell[3301]: kpipewire_logging: error: "Failed to connect to PipeWire" 0
мая 10 09:47:43 work plasmashell[3301]: received error while creating the stream "Failed to connect to PipeWire" Media monitor will not work.

that I don't know how to disable.
Please tell me how to disable this and continue support pulseaudio, coz pipewire is not a replacement, it sucks.
Thank you!

I'm afraid PipeWire is required foe certain functionality, sorry.

I get that logging spam even without pulseaudio (not installed). But only every 5 seconds. pipewire and kpipewire are installed.

Same issue, same reason. For those coming here from searching like me, try disabling Camera Indicator in the system tray settings. As of writing that seems to be the only thing wanting kpipewire MediaMonitor.
