When I edit a .desktop file and save it, the icon is suddenly gone. Not just invisible but gone entirely. But after a reboot it comes back again.

This also affects the trash icon. If the trash is emptied, the icon is gone until reboot.

Running KDE Plasma 6.0.4
OS: Arch Linux, Kernel 6.8.9-arch1-1

Yes I can and I did. This isn't about who reports first. Many people reported having this problem by now but no KDE dev has since acknowledged the issue so far.

This is to consolidate all people with the same problem into one big bug report to make it easier for the devs to see the scope of this issue.

I just happened to be the first one who reported it. It could've been anyone.
