SUMMARY Sometimes Dolphin doesn't refresh on paste completion and the pasted file isn't visible. After a refresh it's there. During the copying process the file is visible on the new location but after the copying process finishes, it disappears. You have to refresh to get it visible again. I tried with many directories and there's no matter if there are many, few or zero files. I recorded a video of the problem: https://i.imgur.com/3MF8wmZ.gif STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy a file and paste it into a new location. OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes the file disappears and one have to refresh to get it visible again. EXPECTED RESULT The file should not disappear and should stay marked/selected when the copying process finishes. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.8.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 32 × Intel® Core™ i9-14900KF Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090/PCIe/SSE2 Manufacturer: ASUS
The problem is still here in 24.05.0.
Can confirm, happens sometimes (but rarely) on KDE Neon User edition.
For me it's very often. I'm working with files a lot and it occures pretty often and it's very frustrating and time consuming. It's a file manager and if a file manager can't work with files, it's bad. My obserations are it never happens with folders though - only with files.
Plasma 6.1 - the problem is still here. With such serious bug I'm really baffled how nobody cares at all. Hello?
