Description leon.halic 2024-04-30 13:15:16 UTC
SUMMARY

When trying to install a new icon pack through system settings, by clicking on Get New.., and finding a icon pack that i want (in this case Kora), clicking on the "Install..." button opens a new window with multiple version of icons available for download (green, grey, ...). When I click on "Install..." next to one of those, the button closes the window and nothing happens.

This seems to affect all the icon packs which offer multiple version for download.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings Icons page.
2. Click on "Get New.." and find an icon pack with multiple version available (ex. Kora)
3. Click "Install.." and choose one of the versions.
4. Window closes, nothing happens.

OBSERVED RESULT
After choosing a version and clicking on "Install..", window closes and nothing happens, icon pack is not installed.

EXPECTED RESULT
After choosing version and clicking "Install...", window closes and icon pack installs.

I wasnt not sure if i should open a new bug report, as this bug is still not properly fixed. So i decided to reopen this one, if you want me to open a complete new bug report, i can do that. Sorry if i wasnt supposed to reopen it :)

The bug did evolve a bit. The buttons for install of specific version work fine if you are in the initial window where you search the icon packs. Right after you click "Get new...". If you click on "Install" directly from that window, the installation will work as expected. But if you enter an icon pack page (i.e. double click on one of the offered icon packs) and try to install from there, it does not work. Same behavior as this bug's original description.

Here is the software versions:

Operating System: Fedora Linux 40
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.9.11-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
