Created attachment 168959 [details] description of bug *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY In KDE Plasma 6, I am unable to have a maximized panel on the top, alongside a panel on the left. I can only have a maximized panel on the left, alongside a panel on the top. Is there any reason for this, or is this a bug? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a panel on the left side of the screen and on the top of the screen 2. Try to make the top panel full width, with the left panel underneath the top panel 3. Notice you can't do that. With a panel on the left, it won't let me resize the top panel to be full width. OBSERVED RESULT See image for details. https://i.postimg.cc/PJMDT4Gc/plasma-6-panel-bug.png EXPECTED RESULT For it to work like in Plasma 5. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is fixed in the upcoming Plasma 6.2.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > This is fixed in the upcoming Plasma 6.2. It's fixed for Wayland, but this issue still happens on X11. Is it a something that'll be fixed for X11, or is it not a priority?
It will most likely never be fixed for X11, I'm afraid.
