Description theincredibletwila@gmail.com 2024-04-23 02:41:00 UTC
SUMMARY
Not all of the time, but quite often (maybe 25%? Could be less, but it happens a lot) when pasting from selection using middle-click on mouse, it pastes everything except the first character.
It's not a big deal, but when doing hundreds of copy-paste operations like I do, it can get quite annoying.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click and drag mouse over a selection of text (for me it's usually Chromium)
2. Go to different app (for me it's usually KWrite)
3. Middle-click to paste text

OBSERVED RESULT
A certain percentage of time, the first character will be missing

EXPECTED RESULT
All of selected text gets pasted into new app

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux

Any update on this? I'm not 100% sure, but I think it happens on Gnome Wayland also. I don't know how the clipboard works, but it's possible it could be a bug in the GTK3 Wayland backend.

Is chrome in XWayland for you to get this?

We cannot reproduce anything similar
