SUMMARY If I open Serious Sam 3 on a secondary monitor while using Polonium tiling script, it will cause Kwin to freeze completely. Sometimes it recovers after a few seconds and renders the game and Steam invisible and sometimes it will never recover. If I do the main monitor, nothing out of the ordinary happens STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install and activate Polonium 2. Move Steam to a secondary monitor 3. Make sure Serious Sam 3 is set to launch natively and not through Proton 4. Open Serious Sam 3 in Steam OBSERVED RESULT Kwin freezes completely EXPECTED RESULT No freeze should happen SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 GPU: RX 5700
Does this happen without the Polonium tiling script? Is this on wayland or x11?
I'm using wayland and it does not happen without Polonium. I recorded a recreation of what I would do to trigger the freeze but without Polonium so that there's some repro steps in video form: https://youtu.be/HadTzhOa00U
