Screenshot shows blurry icons, specifically syncthing, telegram, brightness and kdeconnect icon

SUMMARY
Some icons appear to be blurry sometimes in Icon tray. I'm not sure why this happens and sometimes icons that were blurry become clear again, sometimes not.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Look at the Icon Tray

OBSERVED RESULT
See screenshot.

Just to add, panel height is 44
Comment 2 Rodgi 2024-04-25 00:45:53 UTC
I have the same problem. Some icons are blurry on start-up but become clear (and stay clear) when I hover my mouse over them. See attached before/after screenshots.

This happens in both the Fedora 40 KDE ISO, as well as the EndeavourOS Gemini ISO, as well as a ~2 week old EndeavourOS plasma 6 clean install. It happens in both X11 and Wayland sessions. Let me know if you want more info.

Do folks see this only on their panels, or also elsewhere on the system? I' actually able to reproduce this on my vertical 50px thick panel, but the effect is subtle and difficult to notice since I use 225% scale. I imagine the effect becomes more noticeable the lower the scale.

Probably a Kirigami.Icon issue, perhaps related to the issue being fixed in https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kirigami/-/merge_requests/1494. Moving to Kirigami.

I observe it only (from what I've seen) in the system tray, with a 42 px height and 100% scale

In the start menu as well, I attached an image where you can see the icon next to "Applications" is similarly gray-ish and blurry. Clicking or hovering over it doesn't change it.
