After rebooting my laptop when I click on a pdf I have to tell Dolphin wich software to use. This is happening since 1 month now.

Of course I clicked alt+enter, then "open with: change" and choose okular there. The path to the .desktop file is ~/.local/share/applications

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Reboot my laptop, open Dolphin, click on a pdf
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT

I need to choose okular to open it

EXPECTED RESULT
It should remember okular as the program to open it.

Can't reproduce.

Is Okular at the top in that list? Did you move it to the top if it isn't?

> The path to the .desktop file is ~/.local/share/applications

this doesn't make much sense either. It should be in /usr/share/applications . Try in a new user profile.

Yes, okular is on top of that list.

now is also /usr/share/applications

How can I do that? I'm using openbox as a WM. Do you mean to create another user and test it from there?
