Description H.H. 2024-04-15 18:55:36 UTC
With kwin_x11 my mouse configuration is working:

xinput set-prop "USB To keyboard Mouse Converter Mouse" "Coordinate Transformation Matrix" 2.5, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 2.5, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0

Last time I tried with kwin_wayland it did not work, and I don't know any alternative? Are there some plans or workaround?

Without this my mouse is very(!) slow (although fastest value in kde-settings-slider)

"Coordinate Transformation Matrix" is unsupported. If pointer acceleration option doesn't work, please file a separate bug report.

Sorry, but I wrote, that the pointer acceleration option doesn't work (I cannot set the speed high enough). Maybe I have some special hardware, but under X I can get around this, and I cannot use wayland because of this.

You may rename the title of the bug report, if you think it is good, but simple closing seems wrong to me.

If the pointer kcm has some deficiencies, we need to address that rather than add a new configuration option to work around those deficiencies.

It's better to create a new bug report so it's easier for people to catch up what a bug report is about. When a bug report is filed for one thing, but then it's renamed later, it's hard to get the idea what the issue is later.
