Created attachment 168532 [details] Incorrect configuration *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY I have configured the kde pannel the way I want it. At a point in time when I was developing teh configuration, the pannel was setup a certain way. Currently the pannel is set up the way I want it, but when I open the start menu, it reverts to that previous state. The pannel is returned to the correct state upon startup. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. This occurred on Ultramarine Linux KDE. 2. I have KDE configs, though I am not sure which ones contain the relivent settings. Three of them are stored in a git repository: https://git.disroot.org/oink/dotfiles/src/branch/main/kde. Please tell me which files need to be posted. 3. Apply the nessessary configurations/filesystem changes. Of course I have not supplied you with enough files, to completely replicate the setup. That is something that I will need help doing. OBSERVED RESULT I will post a screenshot of the correct configuration next to the incorrect one. The incorrect one will be posted first in this post. The correct one will be in a comment. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Unfortunately I am completely at a loss to explain what could possibly cause this. Is it still happening with Plasma 6.1.4 or later, in Fedora KDE 40?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) > Unfortunately I am completely at a loss to explain what could possibly cause > this. > > Is it still happening with Plasma 6.1.4 or later, in Fedora KDE 40? I beleive so. I have updated my system since the Fedora 40 release, and when I went into KDE, there were two bars. the correct one was on top of the correct one.
Niccolò, any ideas?
No idea whatsoever. This sounds really weird. Maybe delete the configuration file and see if it continues to happen?
May I ask someone who reproduces this bug to try the above and let us know if anything changes?
