If you add a file with long name to the panel, then the icon applet window will appear horizontally large and not resizable, and when you start edit mode the remove button is not accessible at all.

The long name should simply be broken on multi line.

These are two different issues, one in the Properties dialog, and one in plasmashell's Panel code. Let's use this one for the properties dialog. Can you open a new one for plasmashell? Thanks!
