I never use "Clear List". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a file. It becomes added to the Recent File list, for now. 2. Wait. Maybe an update happens? A reboot? 3. Check Recent Documents OBSERVED RESULT Recent Documents is empty EXPECTED RESULT That file should remain in Recent Documents indefinitely. Or at least longer than a week. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.8.4 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION "Keep history:" is set to Forever in System Settings > Recent Files, and "Remember opened documents" is set to "For all applications"
Can not reproduce this, to fix this, would need some way to do that, sorry.
I will try a fresh install of Arch and see if it happens again.
