SUMMARY Please add the logs of ~/.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log Most users don't know these logs exist which is one of the reasons for why such a GUI is useful. This is especially needed with the improved support for Wayland in Debian12. I don't know if there are any Wayland logs elsewhere but if so they should be included as well. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On Debian12/KDE try to view a GUI filterable & searchable log of Wayland errors OBSERVED RESULT Not included in KSystemlog while X11 logs are included EXPECTED RESULT Included by default in KSystemlog with a header like "Wayland logs" SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 12 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a very useful underrated tool which has a lot of potential but needs some more work to become so useful to be really used a lot. This bug is related and solving this issue here would address half of it: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447769
I don't know why that file is empty so maybe something else needs to be done first. Where are the wayland logs?
