SUMMARY When I add a DAV resource, fetching from it always fails with the error "Invalid response from backend" STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a DAV resource in KOrganizer 2. Attempt to fetch the list of calendars 3. An error pops up says "Invalid response from backend" OBSERVED RESULT An error dialog stating "Invalid response from backend" EXPECTED RESULT Fetching the list of calendars SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You can also reproduce by clicking the "Test connection" button in the account wizard
The error message is not very good, but it indicates that the DAV server has returned an invalid response. Is this some standard DAV server (like Nextcloud), or some custom/proprietary one? Are you able to test with some other calendar client?

Are you able to test with some other calendar client? It's Nextcloud, and it works with Evolution and GNOME Online Accounts, as well as with DAVx5 on Android. Notably, it wasn't an issue when connecting to OpenDesktop.org Cloud (an older version of Nextcloud), so I think it might be related to a change in Nextcloud.

Potentially the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486871, the error message is indeed not helpful, but I got the same. And I can confirm that the ressource is working with every other client, including akonadi < 6.*, so this is not a bug in the ressource, but in akonadi.
