System Setting

Unticking the default hotkey leads to the same behavior, no change. I'm using Xorg.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change the Delete Word Backwards hotkey and test on any app that doesn't "belong" to Plasma.

OBSERVED RESULT
Any changes there are only applied to Plasma and Plasma apps.

EXPECTED RESULT
To work globally inside the GUI session.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I attached a print of the screen from the System Setting I'm talking about.

There is no XDG standard for shortcut mappings.
Comment 2 Nicolas Fella 2024-04-05 13:16:51 UTC
The shortcut is up to the applications and we cannot influence this for arbitrary applications. Ideally those would read our setting for it
